Life on a farm is not nearly as dull as many would believe. Horses and cats do amazingly amusing things. For drama, we have hurricanes and near-death (and unfortunately sometimes real death) experiences.  When my husband was working in California, my dad used to ask me if I ever got lonely on the farm by myself.  By myself? I answered -- I'm not by myself - I have four horses and six cats to keep me company!
